The Idea...using a digital paint style in the background I will create pokermachines, these will fade out into the clutching claws and branches of the foreground. Light will be radiating from the poker machines screen, with the central part of the image lighter than the edges. The person will be seated, back facing the viewer in the centre of the image, whilst the branches, claws, etc, swarm in from all around. Poker machines will be black, red, with yellow in the glowing of the screen whilst the branches will be darkened greys, browns and greens.

The idea...is following a similar idea to the previous, where 'gambling' is represented in the form of a monsterous figure, lurking in the background waiting to consume its victimn. Similar elements as previous, light radiating from poker machine, monster casts the back of the head in shadows and darkness. Smoke is twisting and curling in the background as though about to extend forward and consume the person. Colour scheme would be similar again.

Emily, A stronger association needs to be made between the gambling machine and the monster. They're good ideas, but the monster, being dissociated away from the act of gambling, could be interpreted as for example the Government taxing pubs and taking away my right to gamble, for example. You're definitely on the correct track - but help the reader to make the connection between monster and gamblinb.
